After more than 20 years of planning and community advocacy, the Moanalua High School Performing Arts Center officially opened its doors in March 2021. Designed by the architectural firm AHL, this $37.6 million, 46,594-square-foot facility serves as the crown jewel of Hawaii's performing arts education. Featuring a 694-seat auditorium with state-of-the-art acoustics, advanced LED lighting, and a stage the exact size of the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall, the venue was built to elevate our award-winning music and drama programs. Today, it stands as a premier, sustainable gathering space for both our students and the wider Honolulu community.

The facility is so great. It's so warm in the way it sounds. It is a literal dream come true not for me, but for everyone who was on the stage and everyone who has been involved.
Elden Seta
Music Director
With a state of the art dance studio, music room, and chorus room, [the performing arts center] is the crown jewel of the most fantastic music complex in the state of Hawaii.
Senator Glenn Wakai
Hawaii State Senator
I'm excited about the lights and sound, but I'm more excited for the students, the school, and the community who have the opportunity to experience a brand new state-of-the-art theater with all the bells and whistles.
